- Cassidy Cribbs
The Fieldston girls Junior Varsity soccer team played Marymount on Monday, October 7th at 4:30 pm. They played at their home field in Van Cortlandt Park and won 5-0. Cassidy (freshman) scored 2 goals, Caitlin (sophomore) scored 1, Carson (sophomore) scored 1, and Logan (freshman) scored 1. They played a 9v9 game with Chantel (freshman) as their goalie. The first goal was a pass into space from Logan to Cassidy. The 2nd and 3rd goals from Cassidy and Caitlin consisted of fantastic dribbling around multiple players. The 4th goal was from Carson who took on a player, made a good move and then took a shot that went to the back post. The 5th and final goal was scored by Logan. Sadie, (sophomore) Alex, (sophomore) Isabel, (freshman) and Carson were a very strong backline that stopped chances on goal for Marymount. Chantel had a great game and made many saves. Narissa and Jordan were very strong through the midfield and won many balls through tackling and clearing the ball out. We look forward to more dominant games going forward.
