XC season is upon us! From a great preseason to great gear, the XC team STAYS winning. Good things to come in the remaining Ivy Developmental Meets and championships. As for our first three meets of the season, the cross country team has already had a historic season. Senior Theo Dassin, in fact, broke his own school record on the cross country course by a whopping 21 seconds, placing first out of 106 runners and setting a new record of 13 minutes and half a second. Additionally, on the boys side, the team has one of the strongest top five it has ever seen. Four of the top five are seniors, while the other one is star freshman Miles Segal. Miles’ mindset is one of determination and hard-workingness; we all look forward to seeing him thrive over the rest of the season. On the girls side, super sophomore Grace Dawn continues to dominate the field and show that she’s #UpNext. Additionally, juniors Ana Sanchez De-Lozada, Abby Chriss, and Ella Dearden have also been putting in that #work this season. I fear for the cexponentiallyompetition as these three studs and the rest of the team continue thriving.
In conclusion, I fear for the competition, especially since the team seems to only be improving .
