Girls Varsity Basketball Poly Prep Game 12/11/19

Even though Fieldston lost their game to Poly Prep 47-25 on Wednesday, it was still a hard-fought effort that once again showed the team’s outstanding skills. Some standout players were Seniors Gemma (#4) and Mia (#5) with their swift scoring skills. Gemma during this game also had amazing guarding skills, along with Junior Taja (#21), who was also able to score some points on the basket. Another game well done by Bridget (#3), where she was able to show off her 3 pointer shots. Senior Marie (#12) was also able to show off her extraordinary shots on basket by scoring more for the team. The team hopes to beat Riverdale on Friday and keep moving forward through the season together with more wins.

Girls Varsity Basketball Riverdale Game 12/13/19

Girls Varsity Basketball triumphed over their biggest rival, Riverdale, on Friday. It was a remarkably close nailbiter but they remained in the lead for most of the game and pulled through to win 45-38 in the end. Each and every player displayed their skills and knowledge of the sport on the court with intent in every move they made. Bridget (#3) blew Riverdale’s coach away. Without her consistent 3 pointers, we may not have been able to end on top. One of the captains, Mia (#5), had some incredible steals, defense, and even scored a few points. Gemma (#4), was another astounding defender and a key player with her shot deflections left and right. The team hopes to beat Trinity in their next game on Monday.
